Technical and Business Assistance (TABA)
SBIR/STTR programs from several agencies allow small businesses to select a TABA vendor of their choice. To request TABA, you must include a letter of support from your chosen TABA vendor. TABA funding varies from agency to agency. Typically, up to $6,500 for Phase I (e.g. DOE, DOD, DOT, NASA, EPA and NIH), and up to $50,000 for Phase II (e.g. DOE, DOD, NASA, NSF, and NIH). This is over and above the award money.
